    Menharmonics: Season 2011-2012

    HEARTSONGS

    Menharmonics is proud to present their annual love-themed concert entitled "HeartSongs." The program will feature music that explores the many facets of love, including those of romance, heartache, family, and our community. Selections include favorites such as Stephen Sondheim's "Send in the Clowns," "What You'd Call a Dream" from the off-Broadway musical "Diamonds," and the tender anthem "Prayer of the Children," as well as music from around the globe. Highlights feature well-known classics such as "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered," and "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." With something for everyone, this is a concert not to be missed!

    EARTHSONGS

    For our final concert of the season, The Choral Project and Menharmonics join together to present a program of music that celebrates our diversity, our interconnectedness, and our global community. The ensembles will each present solo sets of repertoire, as well as share the stage for a rich and delightful sonic experience. Selections will include audience favorites such as the rousing South African folksong Babethandaza, as well as Lida Rose from "The Music Man," music from Bulgaria and Georgia, and Franz Biebl’s beloved Ave Maria.
